Sharanjit Kaur has acquired vast experience in a wide spectrum of matters relating to family and matrimonial disputes, adoption and guardianship matters, motor insurance claims, workmen’s compensation claims, general insurance claims, probate work, civil and commercial litigation, and criminal litigation. Some of her cases, especially those involving family /matrimonial disputes, have been reported in the Singapore Law Reports. Her areas of practice include Family Law; Adoption and Guardianship; Insurance Law; Motor Vehicle and Industrial Accident Claims; Workmen’s Compensation Claims; General Insurance Claims and Estate; Probate Matters; Civil Litigation and Commercial Litigation. Experience Sharanjit has successfully conducted the defence and negotiated the satisfactory settlement of numerous personal injury and property damage claims arising from road traffic accidents and industrial accidents, claims against occupiers, claims for fire and/or water damage, claims against contractors, and claims against professionals, in the High Court and the District Court for numerous insurance companies including the recent reported case of Ingrid Christina Hanson & Ors v Tan Puey Tze [2008]1 SLR 409. She has also been practising family law, adoption and probate matters for the past 11 years. Besides handling various contested divorce proceedings up to the Court of Appeal, she has also handle claims for maintenance and personal protection orders in the Family Court.
